PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the system in which signal detection and channel parameter estimate which conduct multiple subcarrier communication processing is conducted by a pilot symbol assisted modulation system are unified. SOLUTION: A pair of parameters relating to production process of fading frequency selectivity in common to all sub carriers by using a known symbol set to the sub carriers is estimated (156). The estimate value of the known symbol is used to obtain an estimate value of the parameter pair with respect to the known symbol set to the sub carrier (15B). Information relating to fading frequency selectivity is effectively extracted through a received pilot symbol by other sub carriers in addition to a concerned sub carrier according to the estimate of the parameter. A fading complex envelope of each sub carrier is obtained from the estimate of the parameter pair.
