PURPOSE:To obtain a reactive antioxidant excellent in blooming and extraction resistance by reacting and crosslinking (modified) rosin, etc., with a specific aromatic alcohol compound. CONSTITUTION:The objective antioxidant is obtained by mixing and heating (A) rosin, a modified rosin or a component thereof with (B) an alcohol compound (preferred example; 3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxyphenyl alcohol) expressed by the formula (R1 and R2 are 1-4C alkyl; 1 is 1-3) and carrying out esterifying reaction. The aforementioned antioxidant is blended in an amount of 0.1-20wt.% (preferably 0.3-10wt.%) based on polymer materials.
