Decanter null for sludge dehydration

PURPOSE: To provide a decanter for dehydrating sludge wherein installation of a controlling equipment for regulating differential velocity is made unnecessary and the degree of dehydration is increased in spite of a very simple structure by using the standard differential velocity of a conventional screw decanter. ;CONSTITUTION: A decanter for dehydrating sludge is equipped with press segments 10 between the distribution port 6 of raw liquid supplied to screw blades 3 and the discharge port 9 of cake. The press segments 10 cross the flow path of the screw blades 3. The upstream ends of the press segments are freely rockingly fitted to a screw shell 4 and the downstream parts thereof are energized outward in the radial direction of a rotary bowl 1 by centrifugal force.
