PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pile driving and drawing technology by which a machine for driving and drawing a pile in and from the ground is improved to have self-running performance and a simple structure and be small-sized, light- weighted and low-priced, and and a pile can be driven and drawn accurately without special skill. ;SOLUTION: The top of a column-like leader 11 is journalled to the tip of an arm 10a (first arm, alias boom in this embodiment) of a construction vehicle or a cargo handling vehicle in such a manner as to relatively freely rotate, the lower end of the column-like leader 11 is separated from the ground surface, and a leader operating cylinder 12 is installed between the middle part of the first arm 10a and the top of the column-like leader 11. A bracket 13 is guided in such a manner as to freely elevate by the column-like leader 11, and driven to elevate by a driving and drawing cylinder 14. A pile chuck 19 for gripping a pile 20 is fitted to the elevating bracket 13 (through an exciter 18 and a rotating mechanism 17).
