Copper converter cold material charging method and apparatus

PURPOSE:To improve the operational ratio of a copper converter caused by the reduction in stop frequency of flasting into the copper converter and the working environment caused by reduction of leaked gas from the copper converter and to improve the recovery ratio of sulfric acid. CONSTITUTION:Defective casting anode 5 is charged into the copper converter 7 through the side surface door without using an overhead crane. At the time of the charging, copper scrap 6 is laid on the defective casting anode 5 and carried in this laying condition, and the anode and the copper scrap may be charged at the same time.
