PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily generate alignment of a box culvert with a bottom pit, which has been done at the construction site and been difficult because of narrowness. ;SOLUTION: A box culvert 1 and bottom pit 2 are carried separately near to the construction site, where the pit 2 is placed on a rotary plate of a pit joining device, and the pit 2 is aligned with a pit hole 1h provided in the culvert 1 upon the body of the joining device. The rotary plate is rotated, and the joining part of the pit 2 with a steel material 1n, etc., is aligned with a notch (v) in the culvert 1, and a coupling tool is coupled with the coupling part of the bottom pit 2.
