A bus for transporting passengers by road, which bus comprises at least two steered front wheels (15) and at least two driven rear wheels (1). The bus comprises a unit which is detachably connected to the other parts of the bus, which unit is provided with at least two spring-mounted wheels. The unit is connected to the other parts of the bus by means of vibration-isolating connecting elements (2). The unit comprises the rear wheels (1) together with the driving motor (5) of the bus and the steering gear (16) for the front wheel (15).
