Nuclear phosphoproteins for prognosticating lymphoid or epithelial cancers

A preparation of antibodies which specifically binds to a mammalian protein comprising an amino acid sequence as shown in Figure 9. Also provided is a diagnostic method for predicting malignant potential of lymphoid and epithelial tumors, comprising obtaining a sample from human lymphoid or epithelial tissue and contacting the sample with antibodies which specifically bind a mammalian protein found in the nucleus of A20 cells having a molecular weight of about 35 kDa as determined by SDS-PAGE, wherein said mammalian protein is a substrate for casein kinase II in vitro.
