A closing ribbon (1), for a nappy or diapers, has one section (11) secured to the nappy and a second section (13) which can be bonded to and released from the nappy. A third section (14), close to the lock/release section (13), is of a material (7) which can split, such as a nonwoven or a coextruded film, with one side (8) attached to the nappy.
