FIELD: forestry, in particular, providing technological corridors in natural plantations and thinning of forest crops. SUBSTANCE: forest clearing machine has retainer with comb fixed on rear side of gripping and cutting device frame. When rotary telescopic manipulator and gripping and cutting device are in extreme upper position, comb comes into contact with upper end of immovable front part of inclined platform and is arranged perpendicular to longitudinal axis of platform. Length of comb is equal to width of platform bottom. EFFECT: increased efficiency, simplified construction and enhanced reliability in operation. 2 dwg
