FIELD: molecular biology, genetic engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to DNA fragment encoding SAF-polypeptide that is an activation factor of the secondary metabolism. Fragment is prepared by method of molecular cloning from Streptomyces griseus cells ATCC 10137. This fragment is a component of recombinant plasmid DNAs providing expression of SAF-polypeptide. Also, this fragment is used for transformation of microorganism cells which are cultured then on nutrient medium and expression of SAF-polypeptide is detected. One of above indicated plasmid is a component of the strain Streptomyces lividans. This strain shows traits that are typical for Streptomycetes.
