FIELD: civil engineering. SUBSTANCE: frameless earthquake-resistant multistorey building is made of box units; may be used in regions with intensity of 9 earthquakes. Box units rest on foundation in the form of concrete preparation and located in a spaced relation between one another. Gaps are filled with concrete featuring strength equalling 1/2-1/16 of concrete strength of box unit with formation of rigid diaphragms spaced at 3 ± 0.6 m. Located in joints of box units in three mutually perpendicular directions are reinforcing bars overlapping the reinforcement of box units by 40-60 diameters of reinforcing bar. EFFECT: higher earthquake resistance of frameless module building due to increase of its strength and rigidity, simplified structure of building and its mounting excluding reinforced foundation, supporting members and provision for use of prefabricated building modules. 1 dwg
