FIELD: study of operational properties of oil products, determination of content of antioxidant additive in transformer oils and of oil change periods. SUBSTANCE: analyzed oil is oxidized in mixture with cumol in presence of initiators of asobioisobutyronitryle, graph of dependence of volume of consumed oxygen on time is plotted, period of induction τ_ionol is found by formula mole/kg, where c is content of W_i mole/kg; Wi is initiation rate, 6,8•10^-8 mole/l.s; P is weight of oil, kg/l and percentage content of ionol per cents by mass is determined from formula . EFFECT: quantitative determination of ionol in transformer oil. 1 tbl
