The conductive film, in this case in the form of a mask (1), is used for the application of pulsed electric currents, delivered by the generator (9) and applied via conductive plates (4a, 4b) at the ends of an elastic hoop (3), to the facial skin. The mask (1) is formed by application of a polymerisable gel consisting typically, by weight, of 20% of polyvinyl alcohol (Rhodoviol TM 30/70), 10% of ethanol, 2% of water-soluble lanolin and 1% of glycerol. The gel remains conductive until polymerisation is complete, in the space of approximately half an hour, which corresponds to the normal treatment period.
