The invention concerns a compressor comprising a piston capable of moving in alternating rectilinear movement in a cylinder with an axis inclined relative to the vertical plane, characterised in that the piston is made of a non-magnetic material and it carries at least two magnets arranged symmetrically relative to the vertical plane containing the axis of the piston, below the plane containing this axis and perpendicular to said vertical plane and at least two magnetized bars are mounted in the cylinder opposite said magnets for exerting on the piston repulsive forces balancing at least partially the weight of the piston or the weight component perpendicular to the axis of the cylinder.
