A pedal tricycle has a box framework 4, 5, 6, 7 at the front, supported by two parallel driven wheels 2, with a differential 29 mounted between half shafts 30 and 31. The rear portion of the tricycle includes a conventional pedal and sprocket assembly 25. Saddle 26 is situated above steered rear wheel 16, which has forks 17 rotatable about a vertical axis. Steering wheel 10 turns the back wheel via shaft 9, sprocket 11, chain 24, sprocket 23, shaft 18, and bevel gears 21 and 20. The steering wheel may not be circular.
