A recursive crystal oscillator aging estimation and prediction device is vided comprising a crystal oscillator connected to a calculation means having several software programs, including frequency aging calculation algorithms based on new mathematical models for estimating and predicting frequency aging, respectively. The calculation means, being an oscillator model, and having a means to use a plurality of shifted logarithmic functions which describe the effects of a given frequency output of said crystal oscillator is connected to a frequency correction circuit.
