PROCESSOR LOADING GENETIC ALGORITHM ACCELERATOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a genetic algorithm accelerator loading processor capable of remarkably improving the processing speed of genetic algorithm for applying genetic operation such as crossing-over and mutation to many chromosomes (individuals). ;SOLUTION: The processor is provided with a genetic operation execution circuit 5 for executing genetic operation including at least either one of crossing- over operation circuit for executing crossing-over operation and a mutation operation circuit for executing mutation operation in addition to conventional processor constitutional elements such as a processor control circuit 1 for controlling the whole processor, an external interface circuit 2 for transmitting/ receiving data between the processor and an external circuit, a data temporary storage circuit 3 for temporarily storing data, and an arithmetic circuit 4 for executing operation such as four rule of arithmetic operation and shifting operation. Consequently the processing speed of genetic algorithm for applying genetic operation such as crossing-over and mutation to many chromosomes (individuals) can be remarkably improved.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
