PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject new peptide, comprising a specific number of amino acids and composed of an active peptide sequence GA, used as an agonist and/or an inhibitor of the amyloid production and useful for treatment or the like of Alzheimer disease, Jakob disease or the like. SOLUTION: This new peptide has 3-15 amino acids and is composed of at least an active peptide sequence GA in the peptide used as an agonist and/or an inhibitor of the amyloid production and useful as the inhibitor and/or the agonist of an amyloid peptide/protein causing an attack of amyloidosis, Alzheimer disease, type II diametes mellitus and spongiosis brain disease [Creutzfield Jakob disease (Jakob disease or the like)]. The peptide is obtained by synthesizing a peptide chain using an amino acid, located at a position for inhibiting the production or collection of the amyloid of the amyloidosis and protected by a solid-phase synthetic method or the like of the peptide and then eliminating the resultant peptide from an immobilized layer while carrying out the deprotection of the side chain with a 95% trifluoroacetic acid or the like.
