PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing ornamental plants, capable of culturing for a long period by only feeding water without supplying fertilizer and nutritional supplement for plants and obtain ornamental plants by using the method. SOLUTION: A recessed part 2 is formed in a part facing the upper side of a wooden block 1 and a soil material 3 for planting a plant 4 is packed in the recessed part 2 and a plant 4 is planted in the soil material 3 and a constituent material of the wooden block 1 is used as nourishment for plant 4.
