METHOD AND DEVICE FOR EVALUATING LANGUAGE PRACTICING SPEECH AND STORAGE MEDIUM STORING SPEECH EVALUATION PROCESSING PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute objective evaluation and to attain efficient practice by mutually comparing characteristic elements in the case of practicing conversation of foreign language such as English conversation. ;SOLUTION: Speech analysis for the contents of each speech included in a text is executed in each frame and data expressing pronunciation, accent, intonation, and a tempo are previously found out as plural elements. Speech analysis for the contents of speaker's speech is executed in each frame (step s2), data for plural elements are found out, respective frames of the speaker's data are allowed to correspond to that of text data by pattern matching, and after executing the evaluation of pronunciation (step s3), the evaluation of accent (step s4), the evaluation of intonation (step s5) and the evaluation of a tempo (step s6), an evaluation value for speaker's speech is outputted (steps s7, s8).;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
