PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an implant coated with a highly crystalline hydroxyapatite of which the amorphous calcium phosphate content is extremely small by a method wherein a coating of hydroxyapatite is applied to an implant by a plasma-spraying, and the implant is placed in a sealable and pressurizable container, and is heated under the existence of steam, and then, cooled and washed with water. ;SOLUTION: For the manufacturing method of this implant coated with a crystalline hydroxyapatite which is at least 90 wt.%, first, an implant is prepared (block (B) 200), and the implant is coated with hydroxyapatite by spraying (B202), and a hot water process is applied (B204). Then, a reactor is prepared (B206), and is heated to a desired temperature (B208). Then, the implant is held at a maximum temperature, and a pressure for a specified period of time (B210). Then, steam is discharged, and the container and the implant are cooled (B212), and a leaching process is started (B214). At this time, the implant is exposed to water (B216), and is immediately exposed to anhydrous acetone (B218), and the implant is dried with air (B220).;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
