INITIAL VALUE GENERATION DEVICE FOR ITERATION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for executing at high speed a calculation to obtain solutions for a numerical value simulation and a simultaneous linear equation. SOLUTION: An initial value generation device consists of a result vector of the past storage part 1, an extrapolation calculation part 2 and a control part 3, and gives an iteration method calculation part 13 an initial value in an iteration method. An approximate value in the iteration method calculation part 13 of the past is stored in the result vector of the past storage part 1, and the initial value is calculated by extrapolation calculating these in the extrapolation calculation part 2. Being compared with a conventional device that simply used to output the result vector of the past once, this device can generate the initial value as close as possible to a solution by using plural past results. Thus, the number of iteration for the iteration method becomes fewer and an entire simulation time becomes shorter.
