PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material required amount calculation system which improves a processing speed by equalizing load that occurs at the time of calcu lation and also preventing overhead from occurring as much as possible. SOLUTION: A material required amount calculation system calculates types of items which are necessary to produce a product, its amount and its data of delivery based on a product production plan. It is provided with plural material required amount plan(MRP) calculating parts 10-1, 10-2,... which are parallelly arranged. A certain MRP calculating part 10-1 among the MRP calculating parts calculates a net required amount for a certain item and gives it to the other MRP calculating parts 10-2,..., and the parts 10-1, 10-2,... separately and parallelly execute part development calculation of an allocated child item among plural child items that constitute the item based on the net required amount of the item.
