SLAVE DRAWING DISPLAYING METHOD IN COMPUTER AIDED DESIGNING SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the schematic recognition of a slave drawing even in the case that the slave drawing can not be referred to, by providing a means preparing substitute data from information concerning the shape of the slave drawing so as to bury in a master drawing. ;SOLUTION: At the time of arranging the slave drawing stored in a magnetic disk 7 in a drawing to be prepared, a CAD(computer aided designing) system retains a prepared master drawing as a file in the disk 7 in the form of burying the rectangular of the existing area of a slave drawing in use, the contour of the slave drawing or image data of the slave drawing. In the case of transferring the master drawing in the prepared disk 7 to a CAD system 2 installed at another place to be read and displayed, the presence/absence of the slave drawing in a magnetic disk 8 is investigated. When judging that the slave drawing is not obtained, a drawing processing part 16 is instructed to display a drawing including a schematic drawing to substitutes for the slave drawing in the form of substitute data designated by the schematic drawing setting part 3 of the system 1.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
