PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medium and high-rise multiple dwelling house possible of providing sufficient drafting and ventilation through an open ceiling part to the inner living room of a dwelling unit in the interior of a building and satisfactory practice of maintenance of the piping and the like. ;SOLUTION: An open ceiling parts 3 are provided in the interior between adjoining dwelling units (H1 to H4) and dwelling units (H1 to H4) piercing from the basement to the roof and the basement is provided with ventilating hole 4 communicating with the exterior. The open ceiling part 3 is arranged on both internal side surfaces of each dwelling unit opposingly to each other and the open ceiling part 3 side walls are provided with a glass window 11 and a venting hole 13 communicating with the living room, while kitchen and sanitary rooms 6 are formed in the space between both open ceiling parts 3, 3 inside the dwelling unit. The floor slab of the kitchen and sanitary rooms 6 is formed in the position one step lower than those on other living rooms and an under floor space 7 is formed under the floor of the kitchen and sanitary rooms 6 by flooring the kitchen and sanitary rooms 6 on the same level as those on the other living rooms. The under floor space 7 is arranged with pipings 9 such as water supply pipes and general drainpipes and inside the open ceiling part 3 is provided with vertical pipes 8 such as water supply vertical pipes and general drainpipes, while the end of the pipings 9 is connected to the vertical pipe 8 inside the open ceiling part 3.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
