PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system, with which control operation is performed speedily as much as possible while suppressing output fluctuation when fixing transmission power, concerning a direct spread spectrum communication system based on a multirated delay multiplexing system varying the number of multiplexing. ;SOLUTION: A gain is controlled by a control signal generated based on a detecting signal detecting the output of a power amplifier part 23 while using a variable gain amplifier 21 after a modulator 19. At a detection/control part 21c, diode detection is performed to the RF output of a delayed multiple spreading signal, average power is found by an integrator, and the output of the variable gain amplifier 21 is equalized with a comparative voltage by comparing the average power with the comparative voltage but in this case, the time constant of integration at the detection/control part 21c is reduced just for fixed time by a control signal showing a single/multiple part.
