PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for observing, using a transmission electron microscope, structure and form with various kinds of space such as macro and macro phase separation structure directly from a polymerization liquid itself in a polymerization process. ;SOLUTION: In a method, a polymerization liquid is dipped into a staining agent containing a heavy metal element with a high electron scattering capacity for staining and immobilizing, the stained polymerization liquid is extremely slightly pinched, is buried into resin, the resin is cured for embedding the stained polymerization liquid, a cured block is trimmed, the face of the stained polymerization liquid part is exposed, the stained polymerization liquid part is thinned by a microtome, the thin piece is placed on the mesh, the mesh is set to a transmission electron microscope, and the form of the polymerization liquid is observed, thus thinning the liquid sample of a macromolecular polymerization liquid or the like for directly observing the structure with various kinds of space scales such as the macro, macro phase separation structure, and the like of the polymerization liquid.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
