The additional water is made to penetrate the grain stock quickly on account of this rapid pressure change, and the grain stock thus obtained is allowed to sit for 5-10 hr as to obtain the grain stock having a water content of 14-17% by a single step. By such a method, the grain stock is conditioned so as to be suited for flour milling work.
