PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save an interior space by providing an elevator usable at all times for the access to at least one of floors, and arranging a get on/off part of the elevator within a dwelling section. ;SOLUTION: A multistoried building for residence H1 has a first dwelling section at a first floor portion and a second floor portion and a second dwelling section at a third floor portion, respectively. In the first floor portion, an entrance hall provided at a north west part of building is communicated with a hall-way provided at a central part to extend from the south to the north, and an elevator 4 is provided at an east end of building adjacent to the east side of the hall-way. The elevator 4 is arranged so that its getting on/off part may be positioned within a first dinning space at the second floor while the same within a second dinning space. Accordingly, the spaces neccessary for getting on/off the elevator 4 are respectively taken in the first and second dinning spaces, thereby attaining the save of space by the positions.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
