SOIL SWELLING AND SOFTENING MATERIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a soil swelling and softening material capable of making optimum planting environment by improving resistance to pressing of soil by mixing coconut husk dust with coconut husk chip and/or coconut husk fiber. SOLUTION: This soil-swelling and softening material is obtained by mixing (A) coconut husk dust with (B) (i) coconut husk chip and/or (ii) coconut husk fiber. When the component (i) or the component (ii) alone is mixed into the component A, a mixing ratio is preferably 1-90%, more preferably 20-50%. When both of the components (i) and (ii) are mixed into the component A, preferably 1-60% component (i) and 1-30% component (ii), more preferably 20-50% component (i) and 5-20% component (ii) are mixed into the component A. The soil swelling and softening material can be used as soil improving material in agriculture and forestry industry, garden industry, landscape gardening industry, civil engineering industry, etc.
