PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely perform the supply of raw cotton to an opener in the case of using a fork lift or a carrier as a means for supplying raw cotton to the opener. ;SOLUTION: This bale-opening cotton-opener 1 to rake up the bale-opened cotton supplied to a cotton-receiving conveyor 2 and transfer the cotton to the subsequent step is provided with a carrier 11 having a liftable pallet 13 and a shutter mechanism 12 having a shutter 14 to inhibit the following motion of the bale-opened cotton according to the returning motion of the carrier 11 after the transfer of the cotton to the receiving conveyor 2 by the carrier 11. The shutter 14 is lifted to allow the supply of the raw cotton from the carrier 11 to the cotton receiving conveyor 2 and, in the returning motion of the carrier 11, the shutter 14 is lowered to inhibit the cotton to follow the motion of the conveyor and supply the cotton on the receiving conveyor 2.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
