PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a false twister capable of positively rotating prescribed false-twisting spindle units and reversibly rotating other false-twisting spindle units. ;SOLUTION: This false twister comprises plural false-twisting spindle units 1-1 to 1-n, an inverter 3 for supplying an electric power having a prescribed frequency to driving motors 2-1 to 2-n disposed on the plural false twister spindle units 1-1 to 1-n, an inverter 4 for supplying the electric power to the inverter 3, a controller 5 for transmitting rotation control signals to the inverter 3, and a electric wiring 6 for connecting the electric motors 2-1 to 2-n to the inverter 3. Therein, the electric wiring 6 comprises an electric power line 7 for connecting the output portion of the inverter 3 to the input portions of the electric motors 2-1 to 2-n, electric power lines 8, 9 for connecting the output portion of the inverter 3 to electric powder-switching means 10, 11, and two systems of electric power lines 12, 15 for connecting the electric power line- switching means 10, 11 to the electric motors 2-1 to 2-n.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
