PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily construct a foundation and smoothly ventilate the whole underfloor without a drift of wind by forming the whole upper surface of a continuous footing into a flat horizontal surface, and forming a number of ventilating grooves on the lower surface of a sill making contact with the upper surface of the continuous footing at fixed intervals in the crossing direction of the sill so that the inside and outside of the underfloor communicate each other. ;SOLUTION: A continuous footing 1 is formed by excavating the ground according to the arrangement of a foundation to form a cutting bottom, laying rubbles in the bottom and placing leveling concrete. A form is assembled on the leveling concrete according to the form of the continuous footing, and concrete is placed in the form in the state where prescribed reinforcements are arranged within the form, whereby the continuous footing 1 the whole upper surface of which is made into a flat horizontal surface is formed. A sill 2 as a wooden horizontal square timber is placed on the continuous footing 1, and fastened by an anchor bolt 3. A number of ventilating grooves 4 are formed on the lower surface of the sill 2 making contact with the upper surface of the continuous footing 1 at fixed intervals in the crossing direction of the sill 2 so that the inside and outside of a floor F communicate with each other.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
