PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a finite linear guide way and a finite linear guide unit assembling the guide way, which can control the movement of a track member securely by preventing the slippage of a holder. ;SOLUTION: In the track grooves 13 and 18 opposing between track members 3 and 4, plural cylindrical rollers 22 held in a holder 23 can be rotated. With the racks 24 fixed to escape grooves 16 and 21, pinions supported rotatable to the holder 23 are engaged. Since recesses 47 for avoiding the interference with the cylindrical rollers 22 are formed to the teeth 46 of the racks 24, the engaging strength of the teeth 46 with the pinions are enhanced by forming the tooth with a large module, and a slippage of the holder 23 to the track members 3 and 4 is prevented. And since the escape grooves 16 and 21 are not large, wide track surfaces 14, 15, 19, and 20 can be secured.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
