PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for measuring an elongation amount without burdening a measuring person by surely integrating data and flexibly analyzing the data. ;SOLUTION: A dial gauge 4 used is one that can output measured values as electric signals. An elongation amount of a sample 1 to which a tensile load W is applied is automatically measured every predetermined time interval by the dial gauge 4. The measured values are sent as electric signals from the dial gauge 4 to an A/D converter 7. After the measured values are digitized at the A/D converter, the values are sent to a personal computer 8 to be recorded and analyzed.
