PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To greatly increasing the assembling strength of a steel pipe scaffold and improve workability and safety. ;SOLUTION: A number of small protruding pieces 2 are formed on the outer periphery of a scaffold pipe 1 at prescribed pitches P along a straight line parallel to an axial center L. The height H of the small protruding pieces 2 is set to be larger than and equal to 0.15 mm and smaller than and equal to 1.00 mm. The pitch P is so as set that the small pieces 2 on the scaffold pipe 1 can be respectively locked to the inner periphery edges 8 of the U-shaped wall 4 of a binding metal fitting 3.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
