PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light diffusive resin layer and light diffusive film which satisfy the requirements for an adequate light diffusion effect, small double refraction and the adhesion property of a protective film and a polarizing plate with a diffusion layer, etc., having sufficient polarization characteristics in combination. ;SOLUTION: This light diffusive resin layer is formed by incorporating diffusing agents 12 of ≥0.02 to ≤1.0 in the difference in the refractive index from the resin of a resin layer formed to a plane film shape and ≥5 nm to ≤5 μm in their grain size into this resin layer. The haze value on the surface in the normal direction of the light diffusive resin layer is preferably ≥3 and the difference in the haze value in the direction of ±60° with the normal direction is 0.1 to 7. The resin layer is preferably formed of a cellulosic resin. The light diffusive film is obtd. by forming such light diffusive resin layer on a transparent film 21. The polarizing plate 30 with the diffusion layer is formed by laminating a polarizer element film on the light diffusive film obtd. by forming a transparent base material as a triacetyl cellulose film subjected to a saponification treatment.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
