PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extract a steel-pipe pile simply and accurately, and to construct the steel-pipe pile simply at a precise place while constructing a bulb having excellent strength without mixing of soil and sand, etc., by installing an expansible expansion-contraction pawl to an auger and pulling up the steel-pipe pile by using the expansion-contraction pawl. ;SOLUTION: The diameter of an expansion-contraction pawl 4 mounted at the front end of the auger 2 is reduced by the forward rotation of the auger 2, and expanded by reverse rotation, and the expansion-contraction pawl 4 is retained to a steel-pipe pile 1. The steel-pipe pile 1, into which the auger 2 is inserted, is built, and the auger 2 is turned and soil is excavated by the front end section of the steel-pipe pile 1 and soil is removed. When the steel-pipe pile 1 is not pressed in at a specified place, the auger 2 is reversely turned, the diameter of the expansion-contraction pawl 4 is expanded and the pawl 4 is retained at the edge of the auger 2, the auger 2 is drawn up and the steel-pipe pile 1 is extracted, and the steel-pipe pile 1 is pressed in again. The steel-pipe pile 1 is installed at the specified place, an excavated pit for foot protection is formed by utilizing the expansion-contaction pawl 4, soil and sand, etc., on the internal wall surface 1a of the steel-pipe pile are scraped off by a brush 5 mounted on an auger screw 21, and cement milk is injected and a bulb is configured.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
