PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a wavelength selective adding/removing function without a loss by providing an integrated amplifier, a wavelength selecting fiber path and a passive optical coupler in order to selectively add or remove a wavelength signal to or from multiple wavelength signals. SOLUTION: This system mounts a fiber amplifier (EDFA) consisting of at least two segments of fibers (EDF) which are dopingly processed with erbium and which is dopingly processed with erbium, at least one of a wavelength selecting element 230 and an exciting part provided with a coupler 262 and an optical excitation separator 263. Then, proper amplifying operations are performed in order to compensate specific losses in paths of an addition, a removal and a passage. Moreover, a freely expandable constitution supporting the additional service of a addition/removal without interrupting the content of a present service is realized by integrating an amplifying function and a wavelength selective adding/removing function.
