PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver halide emulsion which is excellent in a reciprocity law characteristic at high illuminance in a short time, small in sensitivity fluctuation by the time fluctuation to post-exposure processing, and low in sensitivity degradation when exposed under a high humidity, and a silver halide color photographic sensitive material and an image forming method using the same. ;SOLUTION: This silver halide emulsion has a silver bromide-rich phase contg. an iridium compd. near the particle surfaces of the silver halide particles in the silver chlorobromide or silver chloroiodobromide emulsion having a silver chloride content of ≥90 mol.% and has a region where the iridium compd. density is higher than in the outer part of this rich phase in the inner part of the silver bromide-rich phase. This silver halide color photographic sensitive material contains this emulsion. The silver halide color photographic sensitive material is subjected to development processing after exposure.
