BAY WINDOW CONSTRUCTION AND BAY WINDOW UNIT MAKING USE THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide bay window construction equipped with function for protecting a bay window from rain, etc., excellent in design efficiency and without incurring the increase of cost or manhour with simple construction in construction of the bay window reaching the approximately same height as that of the edge of eaves for a roof. ;SOLUTION: Construction of this bay window 10 is so constituted that the front section 14 with a window opening 21 is provided to a position projected outward from an exterior wall 34, the front section 14 is positioned to an outdoor side from an eaves section 44 of a roof section 40 and that it reaches the approximately same height as that of the eaves section 44 of the roof section 40 mounting a gutter 48 to the eaves section 44. In that case, a gutter cover 52 for covering the gutter 48 from the below covers the upper part of the bay window 10 extending from the upper end face of the front section 14 to the exterior wall 34 and is used for a roof of the bay window 10. The front section 14 is so constituted that the outdoor side is covered with a waterproofing exterior finish member 20 reaching the gutter cover 52 across the upper end face 17 and that the lower surface 53 of the gutter cover 52 is connected to the upper end of the exterior finish member 20 through sealant 60 in a water-tight state.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
