PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pulling out device for leaves of a leaf tobacco capable of reducing work load and labor therefor, and widely improving the working efficiency, and a method for pulling the leaves out. ;SOLUTION: This device for performing a method for pulling leaves out, is equipped with lower and upper chains 34, 38 transferring leaf tobaccos A attached to a continuous rope B in a state of nipping the leaf stalk parts thereof in one direction, and a pair of rollers 62 with a groove and nipping the continuous rope B and drawing the continuous rope B successively in a direction for pulling the leaves out from the leaf stalk parts of the leaf tobaccos in a transferring process of the leaf tobaccos A.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
