PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a CAD system for generating drawings of a unit type building with which data can be easily handled when transmitting the data between a sales section and a production section. ;SOLUTION: Between a plan generation device 2 for generating specification drawings of a unit type building composed of box-shaped building units and a production chart generation device 3 for generating production drawings of the building units, based on the said specification drawings, data converting device 4 is provided for converting image data consisting of the specification drawings generated by the plan generation device 2 to text data composed of character codes only. Thus, information to be transmitted to the production section is converted from the image data occupying a large capacity to the text data of a small capacity, so that the amount of data to be transmitted from the sales section to the production section is extremely reduced, and these data can be easily handled.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
