PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for recovering suspended solid from geothermal hot water by which suspended solid in geothermal hot water is separated, filtered and recovered, or after spherical fine powder is produced, suspended solid is recovered and silica scale is prevented and the recovery rate of heat energy of unutilized low-temperature geothermal hot water is enhanced and power generation capacity is enhanced and to provide a geothermal power generation installation using the same. SOLUTION: The device for recovering suspended solid from geothermal hot water is provided with a closed cylindrical vessel 1 having an inflow port 3a of a state connected to a hot water-supplying duct 13. A nearly cylindrical fluid-flowing vessel 2 is provided nearly concentrically with the closed cylindrical vessel in the inside thereof. A collected fluid duct 11 with fluid-flowing properties is arranged nearly concentrically with the fluid- flowing vessel in the inside thereof. A filter medium 10, which catchs and separates suspended solid contained in geothermal hot water introduced from the outer wall of the fluid-flowing vessel, is held so as to be fluidized in the space of the outside of the collected fluid duct in the inside of the fluid-flowing vessel. A hot water-discharging means 19, through which filtered geothermal hot water collected in the collected fluid duct is discharged to the outside of the closed cylindrical vessel, is provided to the collected fluid duct.
