PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bathtub without leakage of water made of Japanese cypress thinning logs, which can utilize the thinning material of Japanese cypresses and obtain a natural idea characteristic of the logs. ;SOLUTION: At a bathtub made by surrounding a bottom board by a side wall constituted by erecting Japanese cypress thinning logs 1 to be connected in a horizontal direction, a notch groove with an idle depth is formed all around the inner wall of the lower part of the side wall 2 to insert the whole periphery 3a of the bottom board into the notch groove in a fluid-tight state and the side wall is made by providing a joining part is formed in the longitudinal direction of each thinning logs to closely fit to each other, then, providing through holes penetrating in the direction of the diameters of the respective logs 1 at intervals and putting strong and water proof wires 7 through the through holes to bind the both tip of it with a spring pressure binder 8.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
