Corrosion product removal equipment for sodium cooled reactor

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently remove various corrosion products without enlarging a device by neatly arranging and integrating a plurality of permanent magnets of the same form having surfaces covered with nickel. SOLUTION: Permanent magnets 13 containing nickel are formed into substantially the same form, the surfaces are covered with nickel, and a plurality of such permanent magnets are neatly arranged through a nonmagnetic body and integrated together to constitute a corrosion product removing device. A removing device formed of concentrically arranged bar-like magnets is housed in the wrapper pipe 12 of a neutron shielding body 10, instead of a shielding metal, to attract and remove corrosion products. This removing device is also set in the positions of other fuel assemblies 7 and blanket fuel assemblies 9 of the shielding body 10. Consequently, since attracting actions of corrosion products by magnetic force and metal are efficiently caused at the same time, cobalt-60, cobalt-58, and manganese-54 can be surely removed with one device.
