PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the accuracy of securing connecting metal fittings to the capitals and bases of columns and to ensure that forces applied to the columns can be transmitted to the lower column via the connecting metal fittings by enabling fine adjustments of the fixed positions (mounted positions) of the connecting metal fittings. ;SOLUTION: Bolt holes 4, each of which is made greater than the axial outside diameter of a bolt M by a predetermined size, are bored through the lower-story capital 2A of a lower-story column 1A and the upper-story base of an upper-story column 1B, and a male connecting metal fitting 7A and a female connecting metal fitting are attached, respectively, to the lower-story capital 2A and the upper-story base, The connecting metal fittings are fixed temporarily by bolts M and nuts N and after positioning are fixed firmly in place, and a two-liquid room-temperature hardening type epoxy resin adhesive is filled, through epoxy resin filling holes 12 bored in upright sides 6, 6, into the bolt holes 4 through which the bolts M are passed, and the adhesive is hardened to fix the bolts M tightly in the bolt holes 4.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
