PURPOSE:To obtain a polymeric material composition improved in long-term light resistance by incorporating a benzoxazine polymer into a polymeric material. CONSTITUTION:100 pts.wt. polymeric material (e.g. an ethylene/propylene copolymer resin) is mixed with 0.001-10 pts.wt. compound having repeating units of the formula (wherein R is a divalent organic group, e.g. 1-10C alkylene, 2-3C alkenylene or 6-25C arylene; X is alkylidene or alkylene; n is 2 to 20), i.e., benzoxazine polymer, to give a polymeric material composition improved in light resistance. By using this polymer as a UV absorber, the long-term light resistance can be improved.
