PURPOSE:To facilitate the grasp of protecting effect of a lightning arrestor by supporting and fixing the lightning arrestor on a mounting metal fitting fixed to a steel tower arm in the state where its ground side is electrically insulated, and connecting a fault detector device between the ground side of the lightning arrestor and the mounting metal fitting. CONSTITUTION:A steel tower arm 4 has a mounting metal fitting 8, on which the ground side of a lightning arrestor 10 is supported and fixed in the electrically insulated state. A current passage is provided between the ground side of the lightning arrestor 10 and the mounting metal fitting 8, and a fault detector device 6 is connected to this current passage. Thus, a current (i) running from the ground side of the lightning arrestor 10 to the mounting metal fitting 8 can be detected by the fault detector device 6. Hence, the grasp of protecting effect of the lightning arrestor can be facilitated.
